Basic Infection Prevention Course

This interactive course will offer a comprehensive foundation for professionals specializing in infection prevention in all settings of health care including: Acute Care, Ambulatory Care, Home Care, Long Term Care, Public Health, Quality Improvement, and Occupational Health.

The next Basic Infection Prevention Course will be held October 18-20 at Pediatric Home Service in Roseville, MN. The APIC MN BIP course is the only course of it's kind locally and winner of the 2011 Heroes of Infection Prevention Award!   Click here for more information and registration.

Participants will:

  • Examine the elements of effective infection prevention programs
  • Gain understanding of how evidence-based recommendations are used to implement best practices to prevent infection
  • Sharpen networking skills with colleagues to share experience and to gain access to additional resources
  • Increase awareness of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's conditions of participation to qualify for 3rd party reimbursement
  • Expand knowledge of compliance with state and national regulatory standards that impact your facility's licensure or accreditation
  • Improve understanding of the impact of infection prevention strategies to support the mission and goals of your healthcare system
