General Meetings

APIC MN holds chapter meetings on a near monthly basis.  Information on upcoming and past meetings may be found below.  Meetings consist of education sessions, APIC MN business meetings, and a share session.  Continuing education credits are commonly available for the education sesstions.  Most meetings are held at Ecolab* Schuman Campus, Research Center (Building F), Innovation Center /Conference Room  in Eagan, Minnesota. Education slides from previous General Meetings may be available, please use the "Contact" tab at the top of the page to request specific slides.

Business Case Workshop

Start and End Times

May 11, 2017 - 8:30am-4:00pm

6.0 Continuing Education Units will be awarded for attendance.

The pre-workshop homework is listed here - do the best you can to review the “homework” before May 11, 2017.  If you can’t complete all of it, come to the workshop anyway!  Shared learning is a powerful way to develop new skills!

  • What to bring – Bring your fully charged electronic device (laptop, tablet, etc.) with you so you can access the program materials and take notes.
  • Download/access presentation powerpoints from the APICMN website. These materials will also be available during and after your program.
  • If you prefer hard-copy program materials, please print before the workshop - there will be no hard-copy program materials provided on site.
  • Please bring the following either loaded on your electronic device or hard copy:
  • Your facility’s most recent risk assessment and IPC plan
  • Current budget for IPC at your facility
  • Business cases you (or others) have created
  • HAI at your facility which you may want to include in a business case (increased LOS for SSI, CAUTI, CLABSI, MRSA, CDI; mortality rates, recent VBP, HAC, RR penalties)
  • Facility-specific data will not be shared with others, but you will ultimately need some or all for your own business case
